I’m truly inspired by the incredible work Courage Canvas continues to do under the leadership of Claire Xiao. The organization beautifully merges creativity, empathy, and service, reminding us that healing is as much about compassion as it is about medicine.
I’ve witnessed firsthand the team’s dedication here in St. Louis, especially during their remarkable tornado relief efforts. Despite harsh conditions, members of Courage Canvas brought smiles, comfort, and tangible support to families in need—demonstrating a rare kind of selfless service. Their summer programs empowering youth and improving global health literacy are equally impressive, showing a deep commitment to building a more compassionate and informed generation.
Keep up the outstanding work! Your passion, creativity, and kindness are transforming lives and redefining…
My name is Emma, and I watched Claire’s Courage Canvas team perform at Clarendale Senior Living. The performance was absolutely wonderful and filled our community with joy and energy. It was heartwarming to see how much thought and emotion went into each act. Everyone left with smiles on their faces, and many of us are still talking about it. I truly hope they come back again soon. It was a meaningful and uplifting experience for all of us.

From performing heartfelt flute pieces that bring comfort to patients, to winning the Youth Speech Award and earning a finalist position in the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America – Future Health Professionals) competition, she truly…

Canvas courage members distributed tornado relief for thousands of families in difficult weather conditions with smiles on their faces. They provided not only material resources, but also encouragement and emotional support. The work they did to uplift the community was very inspirational and shows a strong dedication to helping and empowering others that are facing hardships. I am also impressed by the work that the Courage Canvas team, led by Claire, does in the summer programs to improve health literacy of youth not only in the United…
